Image
LEADERS of IS are sneaking battle-hardened jihadis from Syria into Nigeria to train terrorists there for possible attacks in Britain. Fanatics from the West African state are also being sent to the Middle East for training in a chilling “exchange programme”. Insiders fear strong links between Nigeria and the UK will make it easier for IS to send its killers here to bring more death and destruction. Now more than 150 British troops are conducting counter-terror training with Nigerian forces in an attempt to stem the bloody tide — and stop IS taking hold in the region. At one training mission in the northern city of Kaduna, a senior Nigerian Air Force commander revealed how his country’s jihadi groups were learning from IS after swearing allegiance to its black flag. Group Captain Isaac Subi, 46, who has been fighting terrorism across Africa since 1991, said: “They come and train their fighters here and some of our insurgents too are granted access to their training in Yem

Not having prepared for the match knowing that Iceland are all 1.90m tall… I get the feeling there’s a general anger at the heart of the team,” said Maradona. Maradona said that the road to qualification is difficult pointing Nigeria as a stubborn opponent that may stop them in their last qualification match. ‘’The Nigerians are young and very fast. Their counter-attacks and pace are a beauty to behold. I wonder how Sampaoli do it. All I k

Governance In Nigeria Has Collapsed - Prof Wole Soyinka

Image
On Sunday, Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka declared that governance in Nigeria has collapsed, noting that democracy and the society are totally in danger. He said enemies of democracy, who inaugurated certain policies which contributed to the nation’s woes are once again coming out and positioning themselves as saviours and messiahs ahead of the 2109 general election. Speaking during the 80th posthumous birthday celebration of the late legal luminary and human rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehin-mi (SAN), in Lagos, Soyinka called for drastic actions to rescue the already endangered Nigeria’s democracy. In his words: “All I want to say in connection with the title of today’s event is just one word; vigilance. Please be vigilant. The theme of the gathering today is most pertinent. There is no question whatsoever that democracy is in danger; not just democracy; in fact, the society is in danger. I do not believe any moment in my existence in this world and in this nation specific

There Will Be Blood!!!’- Anthony Joshua Warns Joseph Parker Ahead Of Fight

Image
Anthony Joshua has warned Joseph Parker there will “definitely be blood” during their fight next week and hopes for a heavyweight classic like Riddick Bowe’s battles with Evander Holyfield. The WBA ‘super’ and IBF title holder can move one belt away from becoming the undisputed champion, if he takes the WBO strap from Parker at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on March 31. But Joshua respects the speed and power of the New Zealander, who has 18 knockouts on his 24-fight unbeaten record. “I can’t tell you exactly how the fight will go, but we’re big, we’re strong, and the punches do hurt after a while. “I definitely know there’ll be blood. There will definitely be blood, and the thing is – you can definitely hear the leather, cracking on people’s heads, if you’re close enough as well, and we’re both fast. “You’ll see really good combinations that you don’t really see from heavyweights,” Joshua told Sky Sports News.
