M.I Abaga Sues American Rapper Nas
Nigerian rapper M.I Abaga and his record label, Chocolate City, has slammed iconic American rapper Nas with a breach of contract lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filled by M.I Abaga at the New York Supreme Court. According to M.I, himself and Chocolate City entered an agreement with Nas and his partner Ronnie Goodman in 2013 to feature on a track with M.I, but that agreement never happened despite a payment of $50,000 been made.
The agreement, stated that Nas was to mention “M.I, Chocolate City, Nigeria, Queens, New York—NAS’s hometown—, Mandela, Trayvon Martin, and the struggles of Africans and African Americans” in his verse on the song, but he never did, even as he did record his own verse.
The Queens rapper was again asked to re-record the verse but he refused and has been for 3-years.
