Chelsea star Morata matches David Villa's record
Alvaro Morata's 2017/18 season is quickly becoming a success story after the new Chelsea man's goal against Italy saw him match David Villa's international goal ratio.
After being brought on as a substitute it took Morata just five minutes to find the net against an Italian team that had been left weary by Isco.
This goal puts Morata right alongside the returning Spanish legend Villa with both the Chelsea striker and the veteran averaging a goal every 107 minutes for the Spanish national team, according to MARCA's stats.
At just 24 years old there will be plenty more matches for the former Real Madrid man to improve on this ratio, especially if he finds a settled rhythm in the Premier League.
Goals are what define the former Juventus star and have done ever since he progressed through Los Blancos' academy and keeping such an impressive goals per minute ratio is a true testament to Morata's abilities considering he so often starts from the bench.
