Pele reacts to Cristiano Ronaldo's new record

Football legend Pele has reacted to Cristiano Ronaldo’s new career record for surpassing his goal scoring record for the national team.
The Portuguese international scored his 48th career hat-trick on Thursday night when Portugal took on the Faroe Islands in their World Cup qualifier, Portugal won the game with a 5-1 score line. The match propelled Ronaldo to 78 goals for his country in 144 appearances.

Ronaldo is efficient in front of goal which makes many football fans believe he is the greatest player the sport has ever seen.
The legendary Brazilian had scored 75 goals in his 92 caps but has now slipped down to sixth in the list of all-time international goal scorers.
Pele congratulated Ronaldo through the social media twitter.
Ronaldo will now set his sights on becoming the most prolific player on the International stage ever.
However, he still has a long way to go to beat Iran’s Ali Daei - who scored a crazy 109 international goals while Real Madrid legend Ferenc Puskas of Hungary is second on the list with 84 goals
The Real Madrid star is just a few goals behind Godfrey Chitalu of Zambia who has 79 goals and a further goal behind Kunishige Kamamoto of Japan.
Portugal still has some couples of games to play and Cristiano Ronaldo will certainly be the player to watch out for when they face Hungary, Andorra and Switzerland in their final three qualifiers.
