Messi becomes first player to score 350 goals as Barcelona see off Alaves

Lionel Messi recovered from missing a penalty, to score twice as Barcelona beat Alaves 2-0. In doing so, he became the first player to pass 350 goals in La Liga.
The Argentine superstar had the chance to open scoring from 12 yards in the 39th minute, but his effort was saved by Fernando Pacheco.
However, 10 minutes after the break, Messi made no mistake with a deflected shot on 55 minutes to earn Barca an important victory on the road, netting his 350th goal from 384 games in the league.
He added his second, after Alaves failed to clear the ball.
That victory maintained Barca’s perfect start to La Liga as they adjusted to life without Neymar and the injured Luis Suarez.
